Après Bar is proud to work in partnership with the food trucks outside, helping create a late-night food and drinks spot that keeps the atmosphere going long after the lifts have closed. If you are craving pizza, you can also order Lava Pizza online and have it delivered straight to the bar, giving you even more choice when it comes to eating well without leaving the action.

At Après Bar, we do not serve food ourselves, but we are lucky to have a fantastic line-up of food trucks right outside. It means you can grab something fresh, quick and seriously good without ever having to stray far from the bar. Even better, you are welcome to bring your food back inside and enjoy it with a drink, so if you fancy a kebab, ramen or a late-night bite with your mates, you can settle in and make a proper evening of it.

Set in a cute and scenic spot with clear views of Mount Yotei, the food truck area has become part of the Hirafu experience in its own right. The vans stay open late into the night, and on some evenings they are among the only food options still serving by the time venues such as Feddies and Phoenix have closed, often around 2.30 or 3.00 in the morning. Whether you want an early dinner, a midnight snack or a proper end-of-night feed, there is usually something cooking just outside.

The food trucks offer a brilliant mix of options, including ramen, the ever-popular kebab, wagyu beef wraps, handmade gyoza, fish and chips, burgers, fried chicken wraps and plenty more depending on the night. There is outdoor seating if you want to stay outside and soak up the atmosphere, or you can head back into Après Bar and eat in comfort while keeping the night going. It is the perfect set-up for anyone who wants great food without missing out on the music, sport and après atmosphere.

Ichi Sushi is a small, local-style Japanese restaurant that offers a more intimate and authentic dining experience in Hirafu. Using locally sourced Hokkaido fish and produce, it focuses on simple quality and the kind of sushi experience that feels rooted in the area. It is a great option for anyone wanting something more traditional, relaxed and ingredient-led while still being right in the heart of town.

Another bonus is its location, as it is on the same street as Après Bar, making it an easy recommendation before or after drinks. Whether you are after a proper sushi dinner or just want to enjoy fresh local seafood in a smaller and more personal setting, Itch Sushi is well worth a visit.

Freddies is one of the best-known late-night venues in Hirafu, with a reputation that shifts from relaxed daytime food spot to full-on party destination after dark. During the day it serves American-style food, but by night it becomes an infamous rave-style club with a retro disco feel and a lively, anything-can-happen atmosphere. It is the kind of place people head to when they want the night to properly kick on.

The venue is known for its high-energy crowd, people dancing on the bar, and its famous Fridays at Freddies party nights, when the place gets especially busy. It normally stays open until 2am, with some special nights running even later. For anyone looking for a louder, wilder and more iconic late-night Hirafu club experience, Freddies is a must-mention.

For casual dining and sport, it remains one of the area’s most popular picks.

Located inside Chatrium Niseko, it brings together high-end tapas dining with a stylish bar atmosphere, making it ideal for a date night, a relaxed evening with friends or the start of a more sophisticated night out. The setting feels polished without being too formal, offering a balance of quality food, creative drinks and a comfortable, modern atmosphere.

The menu blends Mediterranean-inspired tapas with Japanese influences, using fresh Hokkaido produce and classic local ingredients in a more modern and inventive way. It is a venue for people who enjoy good food made for sharing, alongside expertly prepared cocktails in a smarter setting. If you are after something a little more elegant than the usual bar scene, Temporada is a strong recommendation.

With its different rooms and changing atmosphere throughout the night, Phoenix feels designed for people who want a more polished and premium experience.

Inside, you will find everything from modern fusion dining to sophisticated cocktail bars and curated wine spaces. Kamado focuses on Japanese ingredients blended with international influences, while Kaguya offers an elegant cocktail and lounge experience. Hikari Wines is ideal for those wanting to enjoy a glass in a relaxed setting or pick up a bottle to take away, and Yūgen brings a warmer, more laid-back lounge atmosphere with cocktails, wine, Guinness and DJ-led evenings. For visitors looking for style, variety and a more upscale side of Niseko nightlife, Phoenix Niseko is a standout choice.

  • Yes. You are welcome to bring food in from the food trucks outside and enjoy it in the warmth of Après Bar while having a drink and taking in the entertainment for the night. Please remember that we are not a restaurant, so do bring any cutlery or other items you may need to eat your food, as we do not provide these. We also ask that you put all rubbish in the bins located around the bar.

  • Yes, the pool table is completely free to use. Darts are also available, but we require a ¥1000 cash deposit, which will be returned when you bring back the three darts and the whiteboard pen.

  • It depends on how busy we are. If the bar is very busy, the answer will usually be no unless it has been discussed with the bar staff beforehand. If it is a quieter night, there is a better chance, but in most cases we prefer guests to pay each time they visit the bar. If you are planning to come with a large group, please speak to one of our managers in advance, as pre-planning makes it much more likely that we can arrange a tab.

  • No. Bringing your own drinks into the bar is strictly forbidden. Any outside drinks will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave the premises for the evening. This also applies to outside drinks that have been poured into our glasses. Reoffending may result in you being barred from the venue for the rest of the season.

  • The best place to check is our Instagram, @apresbarniseko, where we post updates in our posts and stories. If it is not listed there, feel free to message us on Instagram or ask a member of staff in the bar. We are flexible and can often accommodate requests, especially if a number of people would like to watch the same event.

  • We accept cash, Visa card and credit card. Unfortunately, we do not accept other payment types.

  • No. The price is the price, and we do not add any extra fees to your drinks. Tips are never expected, but if you would like to thank the staff, you are very welcome to leave a cash tip in one of the tip jars on the bar.

  • If you have lost something, we keep a lost property box and also hang up any left-behind coats or jumpers on the hangers to the right as you walk in. We often do not realise what has been left until the end of the night when we close the bar. If we are unable to find your item, please send us a description and ideally a photo of it via Instagram at @apresbarniseko. Please note that we are not responsible for lost items.

  • If you would like to get in touch with Après Bar and are unable to come in and speak to a staff member, please message us on Instagram at @apresbarniseko.

  • To stay up to date with everything happening at Après, follow our Instagram and keep an eye on our latest posts and stories. You are also welcome to come into the bar and ask a member of staff, who will be happy to let you know what is coming up.

  • We only serve Guinness in full pint glasses. All other beers are served in Skuna glasses, which are around two-thirds of a pint.
